"Bodywork" and "Hired Touch" are terms that many secretly find intriguing, yet often hesitate to book a session due to fear of judgment in our society. While women have been enjoying bodywork as a form of relaxation for years, experiencing it with a male provider may present a new opportunity. Human touch is a natural need that brings countless benefits, and I welcome all clients without judgment.
In my 16 years of working with clients, I've discovered a significant element often missing in people's lives: human touch. This touch deprivation crisis is prevalent in our society, and addressing it is vital for human happiness and survival. Many individuals seek a safe, quiet, and relaxing space to explore their need for touch. They desire to connect with a non-judgmental, open-minded, and knowledgeable provider who understands the stressors of today's world. As our society evolves, the need for a safe place to unwind becomes increasingly important.
As a nudist for over 50 years, I recognize that the benefits of nudity are invaluable. I provide a safe space where you can embrace your true self, regardless of any coverings. Body acceptance is not solely a concern for women; many men also struggle with self-acceptance when they look in the mirror. Learning to let go of the ideal image and appreciating the beauty within is a crucial first step. When you are with me on my table, you are not just another client; you are a warm, tender, and loving individual seeking to feel good, loved, wanted, and pampered. I may begin slowly, but you will soon discover that my touch can awaken feelings within your body that you may have never experienced before.
(1) Inspire positive thinking and expand trust
Known as the "feel good" hormone, oxytocin helps inspire positive thinking and maintain an optimistic outlook on the world, which is essential for fostering body acceptance.
(2) Reduce social anxiety and stress
The benefits of human touch are profound; physical touch increases levels of dopamine and serotonin, two neurotransmitters that help regulate your mood as well as relieve stress and anxiety. Dopamine, in particular, regulates the pleasure center in your brain, serving as a great counter to feelings of anxiety, especially in cases of touch deprivation.
(3) Boost immune system and lower blood pressure
Physical touch is known to improve the function of your immune system and reduce diseases, such as those associated with the heart and blood, further emphasizing the importance of human touch in our lives.
Many people struggle with body image issues as we age and navigate different life phases. Most of us are all too familiar with the "tricks" we use to avoid seeing our full naked selves. There’s the full-on avoidance of mirrors (don’t look!), the refusal to install full-length mirrors (chest up only, please!), and the quick "towel wrap" after showers (quick, cover up!). I’ve done them all myself, so I totally get it.
However, embracing body acceptance means forcing yourself to spend more time naked, which helps confront the fact that your body is yours—nothing to be ashamed of. No matter where you stand in your health journey, our bodies are incredible. They carry us through life and deserve respect and care, rather than being avoided at all costs.
Getting comfortable with actually looking at your body might also lead to discovering what you need to do to learn to love your body more. Wearing only your smile may end up putting a bigger grin on your face than you might expect. Various studies have shown the human touch benefits and how being nude can positively impact your physical and mental health. Additionally, many studies indicate that touch deprivation and certain items of clothing can have negative health effects.
